The Spark Behind This Internship

Thinslices has always thrived on small, empowered teams that own outcomes. We’re growing and want fresh thinkers who can question how we do things—and then help us do them better. This internship is our fast-track for spotting that talent early and giving it room to run.

Internship Snapshot

A three-month sprint at ~30 hybrid hours/week: home for deep work, the office in Iasi for high-bandwidth teamwork. Pick a track—Back-End, Front-End, QA Automation, PM, or Design—and learn with a tight cohort. Mentors, practice leads, and squad projects deliver constant feedback, weekly milestones, and a clear runway to a full-time role.

Internship Program at a Glance

Over a two-month sprint you’ll architect, iterate, and demo a working product in front of the whole company, with mentors on call to remove blockers so you spend your time building, not buffering—then, in Month 3, you plug into a live client team, pull real tickets, and watch your code ship to production with your name on the deploy.

Stage 1 — Learn & Prototype (Months 1-2)

  • Focused curriculum for each track: tools, patterns, and our delivery playbook.

  • Cross-functional squad project: two-month sprint, company-wide demo day.

  • Mentor support that clears blockers fast—so you’re building, not buffering.

Stage 2 — Production Time (Month 3)

  • Embed in a live client team and take real tickets off the board.

  • Ship features, squash bugs, present in stand-ups.

  • Feel the dopamine hit of a deploy notification that includes your commit hash.

Pick Your Track — and What You’ll Actually Do

Web Back-End

  • Design & ship APIs: model data, write migrations, and keep endpoints fast and secure.
  • Code quality: apply TypeScript, SOLID principles, and automated tests so every build stays green.
  • Dev-ops touchpoints: containerise services and plug pipelines into CI/CD for hands-off deploys.

Web Front-End

  • Craft UIs in React + TypeScript: build components, wire data, and chase 60 fps interactions.
  • UX essentials: responsiveness, accessibility, and performance budgets baked into every PR.
  • Confidence by testing: storybook demos and unit/integration tests before the feature flag flips.

QA Automation

  • Own the safety net: write end-to-end and component suites in Cypress/Playwright.
  • Shift-left mindset: pair with devs on acceptance criteria and catch bugs before they land.
  • Quality analytics: surface flaky tests, track coverage, and gate releases through CI.

Project Management

  • Run agile ceremonies: plan sprints, refine backlogs, and steer daily stand-ups.
  • Road-mapping & risk: build release roadmaps, watch KPIs, and raise blockers early.
  • Client comms: prep status reports and demos that keep stakeholders in the loop.

UI/UX Design

  • Translate briefs into experience: create wireframes, hi-fi mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Design-system stewardship: extend our UI kit and hand off specs seamlessly to devs.
  • User insight loops: run quick tests, gather feedback, and iterate until flow feels effortless.
