Account manager

Iasi, Romania / remote

We're looking for an experienced account manager to handle one or multiple of our clients, by developing a mutually beneficial business relationship.

  • Gain a good understanding of the client/ portfolio of clients assigned, their industry and business, to be able to understand their objectives, needs and key pain points
  • Develop the strategy for engagement, retention and growth for each client from the assigned portfolio
    • Target and grow new strategic stakeholder relationships from the ground up to enable the generation of new leads and net new revenue
    • Exploit new opportunities and lead sales activities together with a defined team from scoping to contract signature and kick-off
  • Create and maintain the balance between being the customer and the team’s advocate by steering complex account situations towards win-win resolutions
    • Manage customer expectations, feedback and delivery escalations as and when they appear
  • Collaborate as part of a project team; working alongside developers, other designers, and project manager to meet project deadlines
  • Coordinate with the PM lead (or project’s PM) and with the required managers from Thinslices’s various departments to ensure the project team has:
    • A clear onboarding/ off-boarding plan
    • The right team allocation
    • Oversee and maintain project profitability targets, billing and control fixed price contracts
  • Oversee a successful start and implementation of projects and team ramp-ups / onboarding
    • Monitor project delivery KPIs and work with the SDL and PM to ensure a successful and healthy project delivery
    • Oversee delivery risks by identifying mitigating actions with the SDL and PM on the project
    • Manage escalations from delivery teams and facilitate the resolution of conflicts and issues as they arise, having a clear context and proposed approach for the team to follow
  • Conduct regular business reviews with your portfolio of stakeholders, that includes: engagement and project milestones, OKRs, challenges and lessons learnt, improvement opportunities and feedback gathering, satisfaction score, team satisfaction, clear and actionable plan with defined steps and owners for the following quarter
  • Act as Thinslices’s ambassador and lead the creation of project/ products case studies from your portfolio of client(s), as well as encourage and foster testimonials and referrals to other potential clients
  • Collaborate and brainstorm with the CSM, Account Managers and the broader stakeholder management team to monitor and improve the delivery processes and the customer retention rate

Knowledge and skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role 5+ years total experience in software industry preferred, on multiple software projects
  • Strategic thinking - product/project/ business related
  • Experience in building, managing and growing client relationships
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum project management process
  • Decision-making, communicating and escalating, flexibility, and strong organizational skills
  • Experience in selling design and product, engineering, or consulting services across industries;
  • Proven experience in managing and developing client and team relationships through a value-adding ability;
  • Very good english skills (B2/C1+)
